Christophe Werner Thiao is a certified Green Finance expert and holds a master’s degree in environmental sciences. With a multidisciplinary background, he has worked in consulting, in the banking sector as an ESG Risk Officer, and as a Climate Action Advisor within the Canadian international development cooperation programme.
He currently serves as Technical Advisor at GIZ Senegal, where he supports financial institutions banks and microfinance institutions in their transition towards sustainable finance. His work focuses on implementing sustainable finance tools, integrating ESG criteria into institutional practices, and developing green financial products and services tailored to the West African context.
