Julia is a Climate Finance Advisor currently working on two projects in Rwanda. Her work focuses on facilitating access to climate finance through a dual approach. On the one hand, she supports SMEs in developing climate-compatible business models, contributing to the development of a green investment pipeline in Rwanda. On the other hand, she collaborates with development and commercial banks to design and implement green financial instruments tailored to the needs of green SMEs. This includes providing readiness support related to green taxonomy alignment, sustainability regulation, and disclosure requirements. She also works closely with the Ministry of Economic Planning and Finance and the Central Bank in Rwanda to further refine the national sustainable finance framework.
Prior to her role in Rwanda, Julia worked across Southeast Asia, Germany, and Costa Rica on climate policy, climate finance, and energy transition topics. She holds a degree in Economics and Media from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, a Master’s degree in Public Management from the University of Potsdam, and a Green Finance Diploma from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
