Kathrin Russner is an economist specialising in international cooperation and risk analysis and management. Since June 2025, she has been the coordinator of the Project ‘Strengthening Sustainable Finance in Senegal’ at GIZ, the German Agency for International Cooperation. She has extensive experience in technical assistance programmes at GIZ and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the areas of microfinance, public finance, governance of extractive industries and collaboration with the private sector.
