Description
The Practitioner’s Guide “Making Sustainable Finance Work for Women” is designed to equip policymakers with actionable insights demonstrated in case studies and practical recommendations on incorporating gender considerations into sustainable finance (SF) frameworks. The Guide represents one of the first global efforts to develop a comprehensive, cross-cutting conceptual framework that can be adapted to a wide range of sustainable finance frameworks—including taxonomies, sustainable finance strategies and roadmaps, reporting and disclosure standards, and bond issuance guidelines.
Project Context
The Practitioner’s Guide is a collaborative effort of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH under the Global Project Sustainable Economic Transformation and Sustainable Finance, alongside the Regional Project Financing a Green Recovery in ASEAN. It is developed in close cooperation with Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) and financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The Guide is tailored for policymakers involved in sustainable finance, such as Ministries of Finance and Central Banks. Additional users include:
