Hayder Al-Bagdadi is Head of the Financial Systems Development, Sustainable Finance, and Investment Sector Project. With more than two decades of experience in international cooperation, Hayder has contributed his expertise across various assignments and roles in GIZ country offices and headquarters. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to advancing financial systems development, with a particular emphasis on fostering financial inclusion and supporting the financing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Prior to rejoining GIZ, Hayder worked as Policy Manager at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) where he managed the Digital Financial Services Working Group and the SME Finance Working Group.
