Leonie works as an advisor in Sustainable Finance at GIZ, where she focuses on non-financial disclosure and advises partner countries on sustainable finance policy and regulation. Before joining GIZ, Leonie worked on climate target setting for financial institutions and portfolio alignment approaches as a Senior Advisor at WWF Germany and as part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Besides analyzing portfolio alignment methodologies and frameworks, Leonie also assessed and co-developed climate alignment metrics. Leonie holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Natural Resource Management (M. Sc.) from Humboldt University of Berlin and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Law (B. A.) from Heidelberg University (GER).
