Tomas has more than ten years of experience in the field of sustainable development, specializing in complex social and environmental issues. He is a current Ph.D. candidate at the University of Freiburg in Germany, researching opportunities for the amazonian bioeconomy. He holds a Bachelor's in International Relations from São Paulo University and a Master's in International Economics from the University of Porto. He is also a former German Chancellor Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
