Venugopal Rajamani (Venu) is an advisor on sustainable finance with a focus on sustainable finance policy and regulation around the world. Prior to joining GIZ, Venu was a German Chancellor Fellow (Bundeskanzler-Stipendiat) probing the ESG and sustainable finance landscape in Germany and Europe, with funding from the German Federal Foreign Office and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has previously been a consultant with the Chief Minister’s Office, Government of Maharashtra, and advised multinational conglomerates on international tax, transfer pricing, and cross-border advisory with Ernst & Young LLP. Venu is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) of India and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Liberal Studies from the Young India Fellowship, Ashoka University.
